We are pleased to present the March 2026 edition of our SAMS monthly series, which provides you with a comprehensive overview of the monthly modifications to all significant international sanctions lists.
In March 2026, 481 individuals and entities were added to major global sanctions lists.
Leading the additions, the Switzerland State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) sanctions list recorded 154 individuals and 51 entities.
Global Affairs Canada sanctioned 5 individuals and 103 entities, while the United Kingdom Consolidated Sanctions List added 34 individuals and 5 entities.
The United States Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) added 20 individuals and 14 entities to its consolidated sanctions list, while the European Union Consolidated Sanctions List recorded 19 individuals and 3 entities.
Additionally, the United Nations Security Council added 25 individuals, the Japan Ministry of Finance added 25 individuals, and the Australia Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) added 22 individuals and 1 entity during the month.
All these names were updated in our proprietary database in real time, ensuring our clients always stay globally and locally compliant.
