Runtime governance for AI agents

Govern every AI agent
action in runtime with
deterministic control.

AI agents decide by probability. Nimbus GOVERN checks each action against your policies before it executes, then allows, escalates or blocks it, with the reason on record.

The agent trust gap

Observability sees the action. Nothing verifies it.

How agents fail in runtime
  • Rule override blindness

The agent chases its goal and overrides a rule that should have come first.

  • Reasoning chain drift

Each step looks fine, but the reasoning drifts away from what policy intends.

  • Silent knowledge gap

The agent acts on outdated or incomplete rules, without knowing it.

  • Conflict fabrication

Faced with conflicting sources, the agent invents an answer and carries on.

The agent trust gap is a missing layer. AI agents send actions to your systems. Guardrails check what agents write. Observability sees what already happened. In between, the runtime verification layer is missing: nothing verifies whether an action is allowed before it runs, and some actions land as a policy breach, wrong client data, an unapproved trade or an off-policy message. AI AGENTS RUNTIME VERIFICATION YOUR SYSTEMS MISSING GUARDRAILS OBSERVABILITY PaymentsPolicy breach Client recordsWrong client data TradingUnapproved trade CommunicationsOff-policy message CHECKS WHATAGENTS WRITE THE TRUST GAPNothing verifieswhat agents do SEES WHATHAPPENED

Agents don’t fail for lack of data. They fail when nothing verifies the action. Nimbus GOVERN is the missing runtime verification layer.

Nimbus GOVERN

From probabilistic to deterministic actions

Every step of the agent loop is verified before the action executes. Four blocks run on every action, so nothing an agent does reaches production unverified.

Deterministic control

Enforce your policies & rules with machine‑verifiable logic.

No guesswork, and no second opinion from another AI. GOVERN measures how far an agent’s action points from your policy, and the size of that gap decides what happens.

Geometric Memory System

Geometric memory system. Your policies and rules are compiled into a geometric knowledge graph of policy nodes. Your policy points in one direction and the agent’s action in another. The angle between them, called theta, decides the outcome: a small gap is allowed, a wider gap goes to a person, and an action pointing away from policy is blocked. How GOVERN decides, in three steps
1
Your rules become a mapYour policies and rules are compiled into a knowledge graph: one precise map of what is allowed.
2
Every action gets a directionEach agent action is placed on the same map, right next to the policy it has to follow.
3
The gap decidesThe angle between them sets the outcome: a small gap is allowed, a wider one is escalated, the opposite is blocked.

Same action. Same rules. Same answer, every time.

Verified business outcomes

Put AI agents to work with controls your risk team can sign off.

Runtime verification turns agentic AI from a risk to manage into an operating advantage, across every workflow your agents touch.

Faster path to production

Approval gates and evidence come ready, so agents reach regulated workflows without a bespoke control build.

  • Risk sign-off built in
  • Reusable across workflows
  • No agent rebuild

Lower compliance risk

Non-compliant actions are stopped before they execute, not found later in a sample review.

  • Breaches blocked at runtime
  • Drift caught at the step
  • Conflicts escalated, not guessed

Accountability that stays human

Material decisions reach the right people at the right moment. Authority stays with the institution.

  • Escalation by risk
  • Named approval gates
  • Kill switch on any agent

Audit-ready by design

Every decision traces back to the rule, the evidence and the policy version that produced it.

  • Plain-language reasons
  • Replayable on demand
  • Tamper-evident record
Flexible integration

Plug-and-govern for any agentic workflow.

An independent runtime assurance layer at the action boundary. It works with the agents, orchestrators and tools you already run, embedded or as a gateway, with no rebuild.

Pattern 01

Embedded inside the agent harness

Every agent output passes through GOVERN before delivery, with no path around it.

Pattern 02

Gateway in front of existing agents

Checks each call between an agent and its tools and APIs, without changing the agent.

Connects to
  • Agent frameworks
  • Multi-agent orchestration
  • Enterprise APIs
  • Tool gateways
  • Data and workflow systems
  • Human approval workflows

  • Decision rightsTriggers and approvals stay yours
  • Deployment sovereigntySaaS, on-premise, air-gapped or sovereign
  • Existing agent stackRuns as built, with no re-platforming
Case studies

Operational proof across regulated workflows

Four regulated workflows, one assurance pattern: evaluate before execution, keep human authority, retain the evidence. Client profiles are anonymised; pilot figures are targets.

FAQ

Questions, answered simply.

For anything specific to your agents, talk to the team.

Talk to a specialist
What does Nimbus GOVERN do?
It checks every action an AI agent wants to take against your policies, before the action happens. Safe actions go ahead, risky ones go to a person, and wrong ones are blocked. Every decision is recorded.
Does it make our AI deterministic?
Your agents still think in probabilities, which is what makes them useful. What becomes deterministic is the control: the same action, checked against the same policy, always gets the same decision.
How is it different from guardrails or monitoring?
Guardrails check the words an AI writes. Monitoring tells you what happened afterwards. GOVERN checks whether an action is allowed and stops it before it happens. Many teams use all three.
Do people stay in control?
Yes. You decide which actions need human approval. Escalated actions wait for a person, every override is recorded, and a kill switch can stop any agent instantly.
Will it slow our agents down?
Not noticeably. In our reference setup, GOVERN adds about 28 milliseconds to an agent’s action, while the agent itself typically takes a second or more.
Does it work with our existing agents and cloud?
Yes. GOVERN connects to agents built on different platforms, works with leading AI models, and runs inside your own Azure or AWS environment, so your data stays where it is.
How do we get started?
Pick one agent workflow. GOVERN watches it first, recording what it would allow or stop, then you switch on control when you’re ready. A typical first workflow takes about two weeks.
